It's official, I have been a member of this wonderful website for 2 whole years. I don't really have much to say but thanks to all that support me, I may not make any money off of it, but its the community that really counts, I am just happy that I got to chance to share my work to world. I mean, its you people that kept me going, even with all the sever artist blocks, I still manage to pull through. So yeah, thank you all for checking out my work, favoriting it (not a real word but whatever), watching me, I cannot thank you enough, and lets hope for a bigger and better future.
So here is a big question for all of you...
What's Your Favorite Picture of Mine?I just want to know. I will tell you mine, my personal favorite work of mine is
"Playing That Forgotten Ballad" (look left), it is a picture that I am very proud of personally, its not just because the picture is pretty, it actually have a very personal meaning to it. The actual meaning behind the picture is from my first love, it was a first time that I ever fell in love with someone, its just I never got the guts to tell her how I really feel, I held it back for so long that it was too late, she fell in love with a man from at least 500 miles away from where I live, months has go by and she unexpectedly decided to move away, and I felt crushed even more, like my heart has finally been broken beyond reconnection, I felt like it would never recover. Last time I saw her, I was in her apartment, saying my goodbyes, told her how I really feel, I even cried into her arms. Days has passed by, and I have not felt any better, listening to Doom Metal non-stop, then I listened to Savatage and I herd the song "Believe", in a way I felt connected to that song, and the artwork from that album included a guitar wrapped with roses, I decided to make a picture loosely based on it. I borrowed my sisters acoustic guitar and I bought roses from Price Chopper, I drove to what was once known as "one of the greatest shops in town" I placed the guitar in front of the door and put the roses in front of it, originally I want it to show the front door of the store but it did not look as good as I wanted, so I decided to do a close up, and I ended up liking it, when I was editing the photo I knew I wanted to make it black and white with the exception of the roses. Visually it looked striking, some say it looked beautiful, some people say that it looked romantic, I say the picture is a memento of an unsung love.
So yeah, that's the story behind that picture.
So whats YOUR favorite?
